Thanks for visiting Cathy's Sweets.  We are a company based in the Altamaha River region of South Georgia.  Our company was started about 4 years ago in the home of Cathy Beecher.  Since then the company has grown to establish itself in the southern parts of Georgia and is still growing to better serve our wonderful customers.  The section below gives the detail of how our delicious sweets got started.

Cathy's Sweets came about when Cathy was a single working mom trying to put her daughter through high school and now through college.  In 2002 her father was sickly ill with cancer, and she quit working at her regular, everyday job after 26 years to take care of him.  In 2003, after Cathy's father passed, she took a class on how to start a small business from Small Business Assistance Corporation (SBAC).  At the end of the course they were required to write a business plan.  The business plan included Cathy's Sweets with a one product (Lit'l Buddy) in one store, with a three-year growth to be five stores.  The SBAC then wanted Cathy to enter a business plan competition, and she happened to place second in the state of Georgia.

Since 2003, Cathy's Sweets has been blessed to grow from selling to one store to over twelve stores.  We currently have 9 products and are planning on adding many more in the near future.  We hope you enjoy our sweets just as much as we do!
